Base Class: Wizard
Summoners are wizards that focus on the creatures of the conjuration and the controlling of the enchantment schools of magic. They are masters of the planes and can move creatures through them.
Summoners conjure creatures and control them into doing their bidding. Summoning is hard to make permanent though many try.
Summoners may often dabble in the creation of homunculi and chimeras. This is seen by many as in natural and some even see Summoning as in natural but how you feel about it is up to you.
Summoning Savant
Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy a spell with the summoning tag into your spellbook is halved.
Minor Summoning
Starting at 2nd level when you select this school, you can use your action to summon a creature in an unoccupied space that you can see within 10 feet of you. This creature can be no larger than 5 ft on a side, have a CR of 1/8 or lower, and its form must be that of a creature that you have seen. The creature can not be humanoid or have an intelligence greater than 4.
The creature disappears after 1 hour, when you use this feature again, or if it takes any damage. When it disappears, it returns to wherever it came from (unless that space is occupied in which it will appear in the closest space it can occupy) with no recollection of anything during its time being summoned.
Chimera Creation
Starting at level 6, you can spend time combining creatures to make a new one. The time it takes is equal to the creatures’ CRs amount of days.
You may combine up to three creatures. You must create the body by sewing the individual parts together. When creating a chimera, use one creature as the base creature, using their hitpoints and armor class, the gold for this creature is double their CR Times 100. The creature can use whatever actions that they had in combat. You can then add other creatures, when adding other creatures you can add abilities that they had for 100 gold times their CR per ability/attribute.
(Ask Dakota for his sample chimera.)
Focused Summoning
Beginning at 10th level, while you are concentrating on a spell/ability that is to do with summoning or your chimera, your concentration can’t be broken as a result of taking damage.
Durable Summons
Starting at 14th level, any creature that you summon or create has 30 temporary hit points.
