Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Hunger and Famine ravish the poor and sick, while obese nobles fill themselves to the brim with food and drink – often even in the same town. Some Clerics of the Gluttony Domain seek to share this wealth of sustenance with the common masses, but most others join the rich and wealthy in their feasts of flesh and wine, only looking out for their own good. Typical deities granting their clerics access to the Gluttony Domain include Yondalla, Vergadain, Malar, Sebek and Urgathoa.

This subclass was made with both good aligned PC clerics and evil underlings in mind, which is why the prepared spell list offers a range of both buffs and debuffs, along with spells that create food, steal life force and provide sustenance - Perfect for those who wish to aid the hungry and punish or greedy, or those who want it all to themselves.

Bonus Proficiencies

Starting at 1st level you gain proficiency with heavy armor. You also become proficient with your choice of either cooking utensils or brewer’s supplies.

Omnivore

Also at 1st level, you are protected by your deity from the sickness and disease that spreads from rotten and inedible food, allowing you to ingest almost everything. You become immune to disease, and you gain advantage on saving throws to avoid or end the poisoned condition on yourself.

At 3rd level, these protections grow even stronger. You gain resistance to poison damage.

Channel Divinity: Overindulgence

At 2nd level, you can invoke your deities will in order to fill the hunger of those around you, but punish your foes with sickness at the same time. As an action, you present your holy symbol, and every creature in a 30-foot radius is provided enough nourishment to sustain itself for seven days.

However, each creature of your choice within the area must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. A creature that failed its saving throw suffers from the sickening feeling of overeating, gaining the poisoned condition for up to 1 minute. While it is poisoned, the creature also has disadvantage on Constitution saving throws, and it can’t eat or drink any food or similar items, such as potions. A creature affected by this ability can repeat its saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.

Spell Eater

At 6th level, you have learned to consume even the magical essence of spells. When you are targeted by a spell with a spell level no more than half your cleric level rounded down, you can use your reaction to consume it. You are not affected by the spell, and you regain hit points equal to twice its spell level.

Once you use this feature, you must wait until you finished a long rest before you can use it again. If you try to use this feature on a spell whose spell level is too high for you to consume, you expend your reaction without effect, but you do not expend a use of this feature.

Divine Strike

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with a sickening energy. On each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an additional 1d8 poison damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Glorious Feast

At 17th level, you gain the ability to summon an unfathomably delicious feast. You always have the Heroe’s Feast spell prepared, and it doesn’t count towards the maximum number of cleric spells you can prepare each day. You can cast it once between each long rest at 6th spell level without needing material components or consuming a spell slot. For you, the casting time of the spell is 1 minute, and the time needed to finish consuming the feast is halved for every participant. Finally, any creature that partook in the feast gains temporary hit points equal to twice your cleric level, which last until their next long rest.
