Base Class: Barbarian
Regardless of the story behind the curse or condition, few abominations are willing to show the other form they can manifest. Regardless of the race they were originally, the brand or curse they obtained causes them to lose their original form and become hideous beasts. Very few people would be tolerant of such a thing, and as such most abominations tend to hide their true nature and keep moving, so as to avoid people learning what they truly are. In battle, they are strong fighters who can take multiple blows for their allies, but should the stress become too much or the pain too staggering, they may have to show their secrets to survive.
Beastial Form
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, when you enter your rage, you transform, revealing the bestial power within you. Until the rage ends, you gain a number of benefits. all these attacks count as ' natural weapons' for you which you are considered proficient with, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack, as normal.
Bite. As you transform, you start to grow long fangs from your toothy maw. it will deal 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you damage a creature with this bite, you regain a number of hit points equal to your proficiency bonus, provided you have less than half your hit points when you hit.
Claws. Each of your hands transforms into a claw, which you can use as a weapon if it’s empty. It deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action.
Tail. You grow a lashing, spiny tail, which deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit and has the reach property. If a creature you can see within 10 feet of you hits you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to swipe your tail and roll a d8, applying a bonus to your AC equal to the number rolled, potentially causing the attack to miss you.
Size: Your size is considered large and you can lift and move objects that are up to 1000lbs in weight. any being smaller than you has disadvantage when trying to grapple you.
Bestial Soul
Beginning at 6th level, the feral power within you increases, causing the natural weapons of your Form of the Beast to count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
At this point, You have honed your transformative ability so much that you can transform without raging. but you do not gain any of the benefits of transforming that you normally would apart from the size growth, for this version of your transformation is not made for battle but is made to help you adapt to your surroundings. When you finish a short or long rest, choose one of the following benefits, which lasts for 3 hours and can be done once a day:
- You gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed, and you can breathe underwater.
- You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, and you can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
- When you jump, you can make a Strength (Athletics) check and extend your jump by a number of feet equal to the check’s total. You can make this special check only once per turn.
swallow
Beginning at 6th level, while you are transformed, when you successfully grapple a small or medium creature using your action, as a bonus action you can choose to swallow the target. The creature is blinded, restrained, has total cover from attacks and takes 2d4 acid damage at the start or your turn every round. Your speed is halved while you have swallowed a creature. If you take 15 damage from the creature in 1 round, fall unconscious, or by your choice, the creature is regurgitated. You can only swallow 1 creature at a time and the creature is automatically regurgitated if your rage ends while it is inside your stomach.
Beastial form growth
starting at level 10, you core attacks that you gain from this path are improved to make them more viable for a higher level.
bite: instead of 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. this attack now does 1d12 piercing damage on a hit. the abilities for the bait excluding the damage remain the same.
claws: instead of 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. this attack now does 1d10 slashing damage on a hit. the abilities for the claws excluding the damage remain the same.
tail: instead of 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. this attack now does 1d12 piercing damage on a hit. the abilities for the tail excluding the damage remain the same.
swallow: when a target is swallowed, they now take 2d6 damage at the end of every one of your turns while swallowed. and an enemy must now deal 20 damage in a single turn to break out.
Primal Obsession
Beginning at 14th level, while you are transformed, as a bonus action you can choose to mark one creature for death for 10 rounds. When you take the attack action on your turn, if you hit only that creature, you can make one more weapon attack than you normally could. if the primal obsession ends and you have not killed that creature, you become stunned for 1 minute. If your rage ends before primal obsession ends, you still receive the stunned condition for 1 minute. After using this feature, you must take a long rest before doing so again.
