Base Class: Monk
Practitioners of the Way of the Enduring Mountain, harden their minds and bodies emulating the mountains they train upon. They aim to recreate the spiritual essence of immovable and enduring stone in themselves. Followers of the way of stone refer to themselves as Kesseki.
Hardened Defense
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can expend 2 Ki points to gain resistance to slashing, bludgeoning , and piercing damage for 1 minute.
Mountain Stance
Starting at 6th level, you can channel your training with Ki to become a barrier to your foes. You gain the following benefits.
- Immovable Mountain. As a reaction you may spend 1 Ki point to become immune to Prone condition and cannot be forcibly moved until the start of your next turn.
- Hands of Stone. Your unarmed strikes deal double damage to objects.
- Bone Breaker. When you hit with an attack you may spend 1 Ki point to inflict disadvantage on an opponents attacks until the start of your next turn.
Unbreaking Form
At 11th level you have trained your form to further enhance your durability.
- Unbreaking Form. You are immune to bleed effects, and may spend a Ki point as a reaction to reduce a critical hit into a regular hit.
- Re-Hardened Defense . When you use the Hardened Defense option you may spend an additional Ki point to become resistant to a single damage type for 1 minute. The type chosen may be acid, lightning, thunder, fire, ice, radiant, necrotic, or psychic. This effect ends early if you spend another Ki point to change the chosen resistance.
Purity of the Mountain
At 17th level you may also add Half your Constitution bonus rounded down (minimum of 1) to your unarmed defense. This is in addition to your Wisdom bonus to armor class. You may not benefit from this feature if you are wearing armor or using any item that increases your armor class magically.
