Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Wizards are a unique and adaptable lot, capable of learning fascinating skills of all kinds and augmenting them through magical practice. The Flesh-Shaper is a wizard who has devoted his training to specialize in magic and surgical or sculpting skills that bend, mold, transform and reshape flesh. These very unique and rare mages grant themselves and other creatures biological "upgrades" like claws, chitinous carapaces, gills, webbed hands and feet, wings for gliding and flying, and so much more. They are transmuters of living and unliving beings alike, and their knowledge of various beings' anatomies is often second to none.

There aren't any known living purveyors of this type of magic in the world of Avalestra, but it is known that The Grand Grimoire contains the details of how to become one, if someone were to be able to use it for such.

Flesh Forms

2nd level Flesh-Shaper feature

At 2nd level when you choose this class, you learn one of the most fundamental spells a Flesh Shaper uses: Alter Self. You add Alter Self to your spellbook and you always have it prepared, which does not count against the number of spells you prepare each day. You can cast it once without expending a spell slot before you must finish a long rest to cast it this way. Furthermore, you can cast Alter Self on willing creatures with a range of touch.

Additionally, your chameleon forms illicit the need to learn convincing acting skills to make intelligent use of them. You gain proficiency in your choice of Deception or Performance.

Bonus Proficiency

You gain proficiency in Deception.

Bonus Proficiency

You gain proficiency in Performance.

Amorphous Body

6th level Flesh-Shaper feature

At 6th level in this class, you learn the greater magical techniques to alter the physical form of humanoids in phenomenal ways. After performing a 1 minute ritual, you are able to transform the body of a humanoid creature you touch, and may then choose to bestow any one benefit of the Alter Self spell, wings which grant a Flying speed equal to your walking speed, a bony or chitinous plating that grants a +2 magic bonus to armor class, or you may grant advantage to any one of your choice of that creature's Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution ability checks and saving throws. The chosen benefit lasts for a number of hours equal to your proficiency bonus or until you dismiss it. Only one such benefit may be given to any creature at one time. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1) before you must finish a long rest to use it again.

Expanded Metamorphosis

10th level Flesh-Shaper feature

At 10th level, you learn to weaponize the Polymorph spell in powerful new ways. If you cast the Polymorph spell targeting an unwilling creature, you change the duration to "1 hour," removing the concentration duration. You may have multiple unwilling creatures affected by any repeated castings of Polymorph but no more creatures than your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1) at any time. If you are at this limit and you cast Polymorph on another unwilling creature, the first creature you had cast Polymorph on is immediately reverted to its normal form.

Additionally, you can cast Polymorph on yourself once without expending a spell slot. You must finish a short rest to cast Polymorph again in this way.

Moliator

14th level Flesh-Shaper feature

Your complete mastery of transmogrification now includes knowledge of arcane alternate forms for humanoids, which grant powerful combat abilities and amazing new capabilities. You learn Tasha's Otherworldly Form and Tenser's Transformation and add those spells to your spellbook. Once, using your bonus action and action on your turn, you expend the spell slots for both spells and you may cast both of these spells as part of the same action with touch range on a willing creature. The target gains the benefits of both spells, the duration of each becomes 5 minutes, and you must maintain your concentration, or lose the benefits of both spells. Despite both spells granting the benefit "You can attack twice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn" you only gain this benefit once. You cannot simultaneously cast both of these spells in this way again until you finish a long rest.

Additionally, when you reach 18th level in this class, you learn the Mass Polymorph and True Polymorph spells and can add those to your spellbook.
