Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Many doubt the existence of ancient vampires, as no one has ever seen or slain such a beast before. Ancient Vampires often hide away from the world avoiding all forms of contact, even from other vampires. A popular vampire of this kind will spend their time feasting off young people to maintain their youth, and employing mortal beings to spy on vampires to see what they are up to. Those that do believe in Ancient Vampires, do not believe in having one as your patron. This is because of their desire to move away from civilization and study their missed history.

A pact with an Ancient Vampire is often as fair as possible. Usually a pact is a dose of the Vampire's powers in return for knowledge or young blood. Very few people have succeeded in keeping their end of the deal, and are drained from their life essence.

Unlike normal vampires, their higher tier ancestors do not live in castles, keeps, or caves and instead in the most unexpected of locations. These locations are areas such as pocket dimensions, underdark caverns or an isolated and deserted keep within a dangerous mountain, which only the worthiest of adventurers can survive to consult the Vampire. Some may even live among the gods... or worse among men.
