Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

You can bridge the boundaries between life and death.

Rite of Bones

When you join this order at 3rd level, you learn the Rite of Bones esoteric rite (detailed below).

Rite of Bones. Your rite damage is necrotic damage. While the rite is active, you gain the following benefits:

  • You have resistance to radiant damage.
  • Your weapon deals one additional hemocraft die of rite damage when you hit a living humanoid.

Drain the Living

Beginning at 3rd level, your ancient order teaches advanced mastery over your life force. As a bonus action you can make all rite damage you deal this turn heal you for the amount dealt.

From the Wellspring

Upon reaching 7th level, When you make a successful attack on your turn, you can choose to roll any amount of your hit dice, dealing extra rite damage equal to the number rolled. For each dice you spend this way, you take 1d4 radiant damage.

Veil of the Abandoned

You can hide yourself from magic and magic like abilities. Appearing as an anomaly and without any information.

Additional Knowledge

Your ancient order graces you with an additional feat.

Brand of Sundering

Beginning at 11th level, your Brand of Castigation now exposes a fragment of your foe’s essence, leaving them vulnerable to your Crimson Rite. Whenever you damage a branded creature with your Crimson Rite, your weapon deals one additional hemocraft die of rite damage. In addition, the branded creature can’t move through creatures or objects.

Drainage Strike

At 15th level, you’ve honed your hemocraft to hemorrhage, punishing those who feel your ire. When you make the attack action and hit, you can choose to forfeit the second attack instead forcing the target to make a intelligence saving throw, on a fail, the target takes 12d6 necrotic damage as negative energy floods their body. On a success, it does nothing unless you choose to burn a use of your blood maledict, forcing the target to reroll the save with disadvantage, and if this save fails you may move up to 15 feet and make an attack as a bonus action with advantage, drawing strength from your enemy.

Rite Revival

Upon reaching 18th level, you learn to protect your fading life by absorbing your blood rite. When you are reduced to 0 hit points while you have an active Crimson Rite, but don’t die outright, the rite ends and you drop to 1 hit point instead. If you have rites active on multiple weapons, you choose which one ends.
