Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

A master of keeping the enemy at a distance with a barrage of airborne blades, Hatchet is a ranged fighter durable enough to hold his own in a scrap, backed up by an interesting array of skill cards to keep mobile and keep fighting.

Thrower's Skill

When you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain the Thrown Weapon Fighting Style, and gain proficiency in Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) Checks.

The Favorite

Starting at 3rd level, you can choose a weapon with the thrown property to become your Favorite during a short or long rest. Your favorite deals an extra die of damage when you throw it. At 9th level, when you hit an attack with your favorite, the target of the attack must make a Constitution saving throw. On a successful check, the weapon is embedded in the target and they take an extra 1d6 slashing damage each time they're hit by an attack. At 18th level, after attacking with your favorite, you can automatically make an additional attack with another thrown weapon.

Keeping Sharp

As part of a short or long rest, you can choose to sharpen your blades. Doing so requires either a whetstone or smith's tools. On your next attack with a sharpened weapon, you deal extra damage equal to your Dexterity modifier. Additionally, the target of an attack from a sharpened weapon must make a Constitution saving throw. The DC for this saving throw is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity Modifier. If they fail the save, then they take an extra die of damage from the next attack that hits them. After you make an attack with a sharpened weapon, it loses this bonus and becomes "unsharpened," but can be sharpened again during a short or long rest. The Favorite never becomes "unsharpened".

Ripped From Flesh

You can use an action to remove your Favorite from a target within the range of your unarmed strikes. When you do this, the target takes 3d6 + your Strength modifier slashing damage and must make a Constitution saving throw equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier or be paralyzed until the end of their next turn.

Versatile Thrower

You can use both your Strength and Dexterity modifiers when making thrown weapon attacks, in addition, your Primal Champion feature also increases your Dexterity score by 4.
