Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

The order of the shadowed soul is one of the more controversial orders as instead of using blood their power comes at the cost of one's own soul, slowly becoming more & more of an empty husk. They have learned how to channel this power to summon the dangerous shadow versions of creatures at the expense of a small piece of your soul which the shadow consumes as payment for its service. At the end of a shadowed soul's life they are nothing but a mere shell of who they once may have been decades ago. Shadowed soul blood hunters seek out the strongest monsters to call upon, devoting their very being in exchange for aid in tasks. The relationship between the shadowed soul hunter & the monster is mutually beneficial as the shadow lacks a soul until it has consumed enough souls to have one while lending its power to the hunter.

Whenever a branded creature is attacked by the soul gloom it adds a damage bonus equal to one roll of your hemocraft die, additionally, its attacks become magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Ruinous Dusk

Upon reaching 18th level, your connection to the realm of shadows becomes amplified from your devotion to its power. The silhouette of a darker form gathers around the soul gloom, twisting its shape to that of a great monster. Instead of a shadowy visage, when attacked, it has a physical form and instead of blood, the creature oozes some sort of black substance.

The soul gloom transforms into a CR 9 beast, dragon, or undead of your choice. It gains temporary hit points equal to one roll of your hemocraft die + your intelligence modifier + half your Blood Hunter level. The soul gloom you had summoned previously, ceases to exist, and can no longer be summoned by your Rite of Shadow until the new creature is killed. In addition, the soul gloom doesn't disappear when your Rite of Shadow ends.

This creature can traverse the Shadowfell as to not become a target to others outside of combat and will reappear when you call to it as a bonus action. After it is killed, you cannot summon another CR 9 creature until 7 days have passed.
