Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

While most barbarians are known for their all out fighting and huge attacks, some opt for a more co-operative approach. These are barbarians who understand that the collective power of a party is greater than the sum of each of the members. Those who follow the Path of the Protector are able to channel their rage and manifest it in a way that helps those around them.

Protective Rage

Starting at 3rd level when you rage emit a protective aura around your allies. When you evoke rage, you may choose a number of creatures, equal to your proficiency bonus, within 30 feet of you. These creatures gain temporary hitpoints equal to your class level (Minimum of 5).

You can use this feature a number of times equal to half of your barbarian level, rounded down, before a long rest.

Inspirational Critical

Starting at 6th level, your strikes inspire your allies. Whenever you land a critical strike against an enemy, you can chose an ally that you can see, and give them advantage on all attack rolls, or spell rolls on their next turn.

Watchful Eye

At 10th level you learn how scan the battlefield, and intervene when your allies are under distress, intervening of necessary. If, while you are raging, an ally within 10 feet of you is being attacked, you can use your reaction to move  to them (Opportunity attacks are still evoked if needed) and give disadvantage to the attacker.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus before a long rest.

Ultimate Protection

Starting at 14th level, your rage emits an aura that bolsters everyone in touches. While you ae in rage, you can use a bonus action to give up to 5 allies within 60 feet of you one of two effects.

  • The chosen creatures gain +2 to all dex saving throws until the start of your next turn.
  • The chosen creatures gain +2 to AC until the start of your next turn.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
