Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

The ability to move about unseen by one's enemies is a necessity for those who prefer a subtle approach. Remaining incognito is a tool for most, but for others, it is a way of life. Stalkers understand the senses of other creatures and know how to remain undetected. Stalkers can use shadows, crowds, foliage, or even just line of sight to evade watching eyes. You will never. even know they were there, until you feel their blade.

Evading Step

When you take this class at 3rd level, you can move quickly when your cover is blown. If a creature spots you while you are hidden, you can immediately use your reaction to move up to your movement speed. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.

Lurking Danger

Starting at 3rd level, you are at your deadliest when you strike from the shadows. When you attack an enemy while hidden, your sneak attack damage deals an extra 2d6.

Watching Eye

When you reach 9th level, you have become skilled at secretly observing houses, castles, and other locations. If you don't already have it, you gain darkvision out to a range of 60 ft. Additionally, you can spend a period of time observing a location to gain information about the layout and routines of the location. The information you gain is based on the amount of time you spend observing the place and at the DM's discretion.

  • If you spend an hour, you learn about the general size and possible layouts of rooms and hallways of the location.
  • If you spend 1 day, you learn about likely layouts of the rooms and hallways, guard routes and shifts.
  • If you spend 1 week, you learn about likely layouts of rooms and hallways and maybe even secrets, guard routes and shifts, and the typical routines of staff, guards, or residents.

Shifting Shadow

At 13th level, you have learned how to strike without revealing yourself. When you attack an enemy while hidden, the target of your attack may make a Wisdom (Perception) check contested by your Dexterity (Stealth). On a success, the creature learns your location, but on a failure, you remain hidden. If your attack was a melee attack, you have disadvantage on the Dexterity (Stealth) check.

Wounding Strike

At 17th level, your quiet, hidden strikes can fatally wound your enemies. When you deal damage with your sneak attack to a creature that has blood, the creature takes damage at the start of its next turn equal to half your sneak attack damage. Additionally, when you attack while hidden, your attacks critically strike on a roll of 19 or 20.
