Bard
Base Class: Bard

Members of the College of Culinary Art have realized the potency in flavor. the magical energy that flows from cook to costumer in the food that we eat and the ingredients that we use are finally harnessed into a disciple of classic musical bards. members of this college are innovators in the realm of food and take pride in their ability to inspire without any kind of musical instrument.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Culinary Art at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with cooking utensils and your choice of 1: Nature, Survival, Perception, or Performance.

Flavor-Filled Casting

Also at 3rd level, your prowess as a chef starts to shine through in your magic. You may use your Cooks Utensils as an arcane focus, and may use ingredients to substitute material components for spells, but the ingredients used must be of similar or equal value to the component required by the spell. When casting a spell without using its native components, you must use your cooks utensils as part of the spell, as you prepare the ingredients magically to have them conjure the spell effect you wish. If the spell states that it’s components are consumed by the spell, this version of the casting also has the components consumed… literally. You or the target must eat this new dish in order to conjure the spell effect.

Bestberry

Finally at 3rd level, you learn the Goodberry spell and it counts as a bard spell for you, but doesn’t count against the number of bard spells you know. The first time you cast this spell per day (at its lowest level), each berry heals an amount of hit points equal to your charisma modifier (minimum of 1) rather than just 1 hit point.

Inspirational Recipe

At 6th level, you learn how to use your cooking prowess to impress and inspire. By taking 1 hour, you can prepare a number of dishes equal to your charisma modifier (minimum 1). When a creature consumes this dish as a bonus action, they gain a bardic inspiration die that is one size lower than your current bardic inspiration die (if your bardic inspiration is a d8, they would gain a d6). These  Inspirational Dishes last for 8 hours before losing their potency, and the bardic inspiration die follows the same rules as your bardic inspiration ability. If you try to create more Inspirational Dishes while any of your previous dishes remain, they lose their magical potency immediately.

Cooking Mastery

Starting at 14th level, your mastery over the senses… Well, your mastery over one sense has propelled your cooking into a new realm of flavour, and you can now bend any and all ingredients into making any flavour you wish. When you cast a spell with food as the material components, the value of the material components, if not specified, can be any value. If the value of the components is specified in the original spell, you can consider that number as being divided by your bard level (rounded up to the nearest gold piece). In addition, if you cast a spell that allows one or more targets to regain hit points using ingredients as the components, you may consider the dice as having rolled their maximum value.
