Artificer
Base Class: Artificer

See above.

Tool Proficiency

You gain proficiency with tattooing supplies. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

Tattoo Artist Spells

You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Tattoo Artist Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Tattooed Infusions

You can now use your tattoos to replicate infusions. Instead of requiring an item, the infusions now require a tattoo of the item. Infusing a tattoo in this way takes a number of hours equal double the level requirement of the infusion (minimum 2). Each tattoo counts as an infusion, and if attempting to tattoo a new infused tattoo while the maximum number of infused tattoos are already in use, the oldest tattoo loses its infused properties, becoming a normal tattoo.

At 6th level, you gain an extra infusion that you can only use to tattoo yourself. This infusion cannot be lost by replacement as above; instead, this infusion can be covered up by a new one when gaining a level. You gain another extra infusion at 10th level, and again at 15th.

This ability replaces the standard Artificer Infusion ability.

Temporary Tattoo

You gain the ability to imprint a temporary tattoo infused with a spell that you have prepared that affects a single creature on a creature you touch once every 24 hours. This does not count against your spells per day. No roll is necessary if this is a willing creature, otherwise make a melee attack. If successful, the target is imprinted with your tattoo. As a bonus action, you may activate the tattoo, causing the effects of the spell to activate. If the spell normally requires an attack roll, it automatically hits. If the spell normally requires a saving throw, add the spell level to the DC.

Flash Tattoo

You now have a bonus infusion that can only be used on a willing creature who is not you. This infusion follows the rules for other infusions for the Tattoo Artist, but it disappears after 24 hours. The time to infuse this tattoo onto a creature is reduced by your level in hours (minimum 30 minutes).

Living Tattoo

You can use one of your tattoo infusions to replicate the Conjure Fey spell, but with a casting time of one action once it's completed. Once you cast this spell, you cannot do so again until a long rest.
