Swinging them ropes

Ropemaster

As a windcatcher your skills with ropes is unmatched. 

You are proficient with the whip

Any length of rope over 15 feet can act as a whip in your hands.

Whips made from rope over 20 feet long now have a reach of 15 feet when used as a weapon.

Whips now do 1d6(plus your dexterity modifier) slashing in your hands. (Scaling with unarmed damage)

Upon hitting a target with a whip you can use a point of ki to attempt to grapple them from afar. 

 When making athletics (dexterity) checks involving ropes, you gain advantage

Any sailing vessel you crew gains 10 additional movement per turn.

 

Knot expert

When a target you've grappled is within 5 feet of you, you use an action to attempt to restrain them.

A target restrained by your ropes has a disadvantage on escape attempts.

When you've grappled a target you can spend a point of Ki to attempt to knock them prone on a bonus action.

Tie him down!

Your whip grapples now effect large targets.

Your grapples and restraint attempts have advantage on all targets medium or smaller

Blow em down

You can attempt to restrain a large target you have grappled, doing so consumes your action and movement on your turn.

With a long enough rope you may attempt to grapple up to two targets at once during a disengage action.

You gain the ability to cast "Gust of Wind" once a day as an action.
