Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Justicars are enforcers of justice, no matter what kind. They could be close warriors and assassins of some powerful ruler or noble, or the muscle for an influential gang of criminals and smugglers. Justicars specialize on striking down a specific target, especially those who have breached the code of conduct they follow and/or adhere to. In a Justicar's eyes, none are safe from the unyielding blade of judgment.

Mark of Judgment

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain the ability to mark another entity for judgment. Using your bonus action, you can mark another creature within 60 feet of you, gaining the following features against them:

  • Whenever you hit a melee attack against the creature, your weapon's damage becomes radiant/necrotic damage (your choice).
  • You can use sneak attack against the creature, even when you don't have advantage or another threatening creature within 5 feet. The other rules of sneak attack still apply.
  • You can always sense the creature as long as they are within 60 feet of you and on the same plane of existence.

You can only have one creature marked at a time. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Watchful Gaze

Starting at 9th level, your eyes can see the intentions and strengths in others. When you spend 1 minute observing or interacting with another creature outside of combat, you can learn information about them. The DM tells you two characteristics from the following list:

  • Alignment
  • One saving throw proficiency (DM's choice)
  • Highest ability score
  • Figure they worship, like a deity (if any)

Toughness Through Purity

By 13th level, you have learned to invigorate yourself through your acts of justice. Whenever you use your sneak attack feature, you can gain temporary hit points equivalent to half the damage done. This feature may be used a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Justice's Will

When you reach 17th level, your sense of justice has twisted to the point where it has reshaped your will. As long as your marked target is alive, you gain advantage on death savings throws and wisdom saving throws. Also, you gain true sight of 60 feet.
