Base Class: Ranger
So, you're here. Doesn't slamming weapons into angry monsters with your murder hobo friends ever get boring? Or maybe you do enjoy time with your somehow sane party, but you're stuck playing a Ranger in hopes that you would be like Geralt of Rivia, Tarzan, or Robin Hood? Well, now, by joining the Creature Catcher Conclave (CCC for short), our patent pending spell-free binding techniques mean you can peacefully sort things out with your new flammable or scaly friends to stop the real villains, who put them there. Gone are the days when mad mages toil to unleash devils for their own gain, because now you and your friends are there to stop them, putting that master's in zoology to good use. Like we always say here, "Gotta catch 'em all!"
Binding Technique
You can see past a favored enemy, and instead view a favored friend. When encountering a Favored Enemy (with the exception of Humanoids because that's slavery) that has a CR equal to a third of your level (rounded down), you may spend an action to make an Animal Handling check against it's Intimidation, going past it's facade of needing to destroy or steal to reason with it, even if it's a simple idea, in their mind. Once you have binded a creature, it follows your commands and is friendly to you until it dies. It loses it's Multi-attack ability if it has it. You may only have one binded creature at a time.
Newfound Vigor
Now, you don't even need to move to direct your companion to sic the poor target you've directed it to in exchange for a snack. You may forgo attacking to give your binded creature the ability to attack twice, teaching it how to fight in fast-paced situations. Additionally, it's attacks are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances.
Multi-Binding Leash
Your ability to switch between Favored Friends is now taken to a greater level. You may bind a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus, however, you may only have two following orders at a time. The rest are in Creature Stasis, a small pocket dimension of their own in the weave where they stay before being switched out.
(The) Legendary Action
Now finally, you are the best there ever was. At least one of them, for sure. When you reach zero hit points in combat, you may destroy the leash and focus on the power of friendship, summoning all of your binded creatures to fight for you at once. This lasts a number of minutes equal to your Wisdom modifier, at the end of which they all disappear.
