Base Class: Barbarian
This is my first version of a new Berserker Subclass. Feel free to tell me how you like it and what could be changed.
Lvl 3: trying to force the player into a aggresiv, regless playstyle, but also rewarding him for doing so
Lvl 6: keeping the old feature and putting the old lvl 10 into it as well, but now it cant be activated on command. instead its a passiv from your Crits. riping your enemys apart and having a red blanked over your mind, should allways be part of a Berserker
Lvl 10 got the old lvl 3 feature here and removed the Frenzy from it. Rage never gives you a Bonus to strength but its hinded at in some way. So i took that as a excuse for the extra Attack.
Lvl 14 only new Feature, I like the idea of raging so much that your Rage gets a Rage and i like when its a gamble for more power. but i can see that it would be the biggest controversial Point in this Subclass. I have some more ideas for that Feature and maybe post them too
Retaliation
When you choose this path at 3rd level and you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against that creature. When you hit, you gain temporary hitpoints equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
Mindless Rage
Beginning at 6th level, you can’t be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage.
When you score a critical hit or kill a creature, you do so with extrem violence! Every enemy creature in a 30 ft. radius that can see or hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be frightened of you until the end of your next turn. If the creature succeeds on its saving throw, it is immune to this feature for 24 hours.
Also you can use Strength instead of Charisma for Intimidation checks.
Brutal Strength
Beginning at 10th level, you Strength lets you swing faster and easier. You can make a extra Attack as a Bonus Action while in Rage.
Also for every weapon you use with one hand, you can use one damage die higher (d4 becomes d6, d6 becomes d8, etc)
Blood Frenzy
At level 14th you can truthly throw away any caution, to make you a heartless kiling machine:
While your Rage is up you can enter a Blood Frenzy as a Bonus Action. The Blood Frenzy gives you the same benefits as Rage, but also you gain these additional features:
-Your Rage Damage Bonus is doubled while in Frenzy
-You gain temporary hitpoints equal to your barbarian level for every hit you land on an enemy.
-Your carrying capacity (including maximum load and maximum lift) is doubled.
-You can make a extra unarmed attack (bite, headbud, kick...) as part of your Attack Action.
-You ignore all exhaustion points you have while you are in your Blood Frenzy.
When your Blood Frenzy ends, you gain 1 point of exhaustion
In the next round, after you activate Blood Frenzy, The DM starts to roll Constitution saving throws at the end of each of your turns for you, in secret.
The DC starts at 5, every success adds 5 to the DC and every failure gives you a point of exhaustion, in secret. Blood Frency only lasts until your Rage ends.
You wouldn't be able to do that, if your body couldnt handle it:
in addition, whenever you finish a long rest, your exhaustion level, if any, is decreased by 1 extra point.
