Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids within the Circle of the Blizzard understand that natural magic is all about persistence, patience, and strength, like the great glaciers forever sliding across the landscape. These druids draw power from the cold to create powerful shields to protect themselves and their allies, as well as obliterate their enemies with the force of an avalanche.

Bonus Cantrip

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you learn one additional cantrip of your choice between Frostbite or Ray of Frost.

Icy Form

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain resistance to cold damage as you body has acclimated to the cold.

Additionally as a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to take on your icy form, rather than transforming into a beast.

While in your icy form, you retain your game statistics, but your body is bolstered with thick ice armor. This form not only offers protection, but also empowers your attacks. The form lasts for 10 minutes. It ends early if you dismiss it (no action required), are incapacitated, die, or use this feature again.

While your Icy Form is active, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1).
  • You gain a bonus to any Constitution saving throw you make to maintain your concentration on a spell. The bonus equals your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1).
  • Once per turn, when you roll damage against a creature, you can add an additional 1d4 cold damage to the damage it takes. The cold damage increases to 1d6 at 6th level, 1d8 at 10th level, and 1d10 at 14th level. In addition you can replace the damage type with cold damage.

Circle Spells

Your strong connection to the ice and snow has infused you with the ability to cast certain spells. This connection grants you access to some spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Circle of Blizzards Spells table.

Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Ice Warden

At 10th level, when you or another creature you can see within 30 feet of you is hit by an attack roll, you can use your reaction to grant a bonus to the target’s AC until the start of the its next turn, potentially causing the attacks to miss. The bonus equals your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1). If the attack misses, the creature gains temporary hit points equal to 1d6 + your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1 temporary hit point).

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

At 14th level, any attack roll you make scores a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20. In addition, you can add your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1) to the damage of your attacks and cantrips while your Icy Form is active.
