Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks that join this path desire to strengthen their own mind and expand their physical and mental capabilities. Through intense, solitary training, these monks learn to align themselves with their surroundings, being aware of what happens around them, even if their vision is clouded. Monasteries that dedicate themselves to this path are often quite small, with only a handful of masters and students. Some monks study this path on their own, intently themselves to be of one mind.

Acute Awareness

When you choose this path at 3rd level, you are able to keep on your toes and be ready at a moment’s notice. When a creature within 5 feet of you targets you with an attack, you can use your reaction to spend 1 ki point and give that attack roll disadvantage. If the attack misses, you can make an unarmed strike at the creature that attacked you as part of the reaction.

Hypersense

Your mental training has given you the ability to sense things without using sight or sound and focus on the things you sense. At 6th level, you gain blindsight up to 15 feet. When a creature enters your blindsight for the first time or starts its turn in your blindsight, you can spend 1 ki point to focus solely on that creature. Until the creature is reduced to 0 hit points, or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell), you can’t use your blindsight to sense any other creature. In addition, attack rolls you make against the creature have advantage but attack rolls you make against any other creatures have disadvantage.

Mind Over Matter

You have learned to shrug off pain and are able to focus through the most chaotic of conflicts. At 11th level, whenever you make a Constitution saving throw, you can use your Wisdom modifier instead when making the saving throw. If succeeding the saving throw causes you to take half damage, then you take no damage instead, and you take half damage on a failed saving throw.

Of One Mind

Your mastery over mind and body has granted superior perception and resilience. As an action on your turn, you can spend 5 ki points to go into a meditative state for 1 minute. In this state, your blindsight increases to 30 ft. and you can select up to 3 creatures in range of your blindsight instead of 1 to focus on when using your Hypersense ability, spending a ki point for each additional creature you focus on. You also gain resistance to the damage the selected creatures deal to you for the duration. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
