Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

The Light in which many priests bathe is brilliant and effervescent, granting them immense divine power. But the brightest light casts the darkest shadow—and from within this blackness, a rival power dwells. Shadow priests fully embrace this opposing polarity, their faith equally resolute as their holy counterparts—but focused on shadowy magics and mental manipulation. Like all priests, they dedicate much of their lives to worship—but they derive their power from the Void, straying dangerously close to the domain of the Old Gods. To truly understand such ancient, corruptive influence is to be driven mad. This is the state in which these dark priests thrive, embracing insanity and feeding off of the minds of their opponents to reach terrifying new limits

Shadowform

All damage you inflict that would normally be radiant becomes Necrotic. You lose the ability to cast Cure spells unless you leave Shadowform. When you leave Shadowform, the loss of the whispers of the Void leaves you stunned for 1d4 rounds.

Mind Flay

A number of times per Short Rest equal to 1/2 your Cleric level (minimum 1), you may flay the target's mind. They must succeed on a WIS saving throw = to 8 + 1/2 your Cleric Level + WIS Modifier, or take 1d6 damage for as long as you maintain the spell. You may maintain the spell a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier. If the target saves, the spell instantly ends.

Vampiric Touch

Any time you deal Necrotic Damage to a target you've also successfully struck in Melee, 1/2 that damage returns to you as Temporary HP. The temporary HP fades at the end of combat.

Mind Sear

A number of times per short rest equal to 1/2 your Cleric level, you force a target to roll against you in a WIS Contest. If they fail, you sear away 1d4 spell slots, starting with their highest level. If the target runs out of spell slots, or does not have any to sear, they instead take a number of d6 damage equal to the number of spells you would have seared.

Vampiric Embrace

Once per Long Rest, you consume the Vampiric Touch on any targets you've successfully struck in melee, and gain that number of d8s back in health. If that amount would put you over your HP maximum, you instead enter a Void Form, and deal an extra damage die on all Necrotic damage rolls you make for the remainder of combat.

Void Eruption

You can no longer leave Shadowform: Instead, you may now give your allies temporary HP from Vampiric Touch or Vampiric Embrace. You do not activate Void Form ability from Vampiric Embrace if you heal a party member over their maximum HP. As well, whenever you roll maximum damage of Necrotic damage die, you instantly cast a Void Bolt that deals an additional 1d8 Necrotic Damage. This ability cannot occur on itself, and can only occur a number of times equal to the level of the spell you cast.
