Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

When the world is dark, when hope seems lost, look east to the rising sun, and listen for the Phoenix call!  KI KI RI KI!

Paladins who swear the Oath of the Phoenix are stalwart protectors of life, and great believers in the cycle of rebirth.  While a paladin of the Oath of the Phoenix will always do what they must to protect the lives of others, they are always keenly aware that they may be called to give their own life.  Some even seem to seek out chances to sacrifice their lives for the good of all.  Truly, some phoenixes seem to court death.

Tenants
Embrace the Flame: trials and tribulations can test us, harden us, burn away impurities, but even if they should destroy us, we will burn if it saves others.
Born from Ashes: destruction is only one parts of the eternal cycle of life, help others restart their lives after destruction
Bear Light in Darkness: When all seems hopeless, and even the sun won’t shine, you must blaze bright and show the people hope. This Too Shall Pass: all things die. Weep for their passing, celebrate their existence, welcome new changes.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.

Burning Talons.  with one action, you activate the flames of life on your weapon.  for the next minute, The first attack you land on your turn deals an extra 1d8 of fire damage. This increases by 1d8 at levels 7 (2d8), and 14 (3d8)

Flame Everlasting. You can use your Channel Divinity as a reaction to instill the revivifying fires into creatures that fall around you. As a reaction to any creature you see withing 30 ft dropping to 0 hp (Even if they would normally be rendered instantly dead), you restore them to 1 hit point.

Aura of Rising Dawn

Aura of Rising Dawn: while you are conscious, any creature you choose within 10 feet of you (except yourself) is resistant to fire damage. If you take fire damage this turn, any creature within 10 feet of you at 0 hit points (But not completely dead)  will regain 1 hit point.

At level 18 this aura increases it’s radius to 30 feet.

Flame Bird

Flames have so infused you, they lick from your wounds when you are hurt.  Any time an enemy hits you with a melee attack, you deal 1d12 plus your charisma modifier of fire damage back to them.

Phoenix Rising

At 20th level, You fully embrace your own pyre. As an action, you can magically become the blazing embodiment of a Phoenix:

  • You have Immune to fire damage.
  • All enemies who start their turn within 30 feet of you take your Flame Bird Damage
  • When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can make one additional attack as part of that action.
  • All your attacks deal your Phoenix Strike damage.
  • You Gain A Fly Speed equal to your movement speed.

Upon exiting this state, you lose Hit points equal to half your maximum hit points.  If this reduction would reduce you to 0 hit points, you die instantly.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
