Base Class: Fighter
From lands far and wide come a troupe of graceful but deadly performers. Though certainly elegant and beautiful, their movements also speak of martial discipline- of a pulsing, persistent energy whose rhythm can inspire souls and soothe troubled hearts. Light on their feet and a master of motion, these fighters strike with their weapons with the same precision as their footfalls, challenging any who would seek to half the beat of the dance.
Bonus Proficiency
You begin training to become nimble and light on your feet. You choose to gain proficiency in either the Acrobatics or the Performance skill.
Acrobatics
You gain proficiency in the Acrobatics skill.
Performance
You gain proficiency in the Performance skill.
Dancing Style
You choose a style of dancing to master. Choose one of the following options.
Fan Dancing
You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your proficiency bonus, and your speed increases by 5 feet.
Ribbon Dancing
When you are hit by an attack and can see the attacker, you can use your reaction to gain a +2 bonus to AC until the end of the current turn, potentially causing the attack to miss.
Saber Dancing
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls you make with melee weapons.
Closed Position
You can use your dance to benefit others. When you roll initiative or as a bonus action on your turn, you can choose a friendly creature other than yourself within 30 feet of you to be your dance partner. The target remains your dance partner for 1 minute. The dance ends early if you and your dance partner move more than 60 feet away from each other, you choose to end the dance (no action required), or either you or your dance partner are incapacitated or killed.
When you or your dance partner make an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw, the other can use their reaction to grant advantage to that roll.
You can choose a dance partner a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.
Quickened Step
Your form and finesse grant you increased reflexes and speed. You gain proficiency in Dexterity saving throws. If you already have this proficiency, you instead gain profiency in Charisma saving throws.
Additionally, while you aren't wearing medium or heavy armor, your speed increases by 10 feet.
Hearts Beat as One
Through repetition and practice, you can instruct others to follow in your footsteps. Your dance partner gains the benefits of your dancing style from your Dancing Style feature.
Cross the World Stage
With grace and poise you can maneuver safely across any battlefield. You don't treat spaces occupied by other creatures as difficult terrain, and opportunity attacks against you are made with disadvantage.
Improvisation
You have mastered all aspects of the dance and can fluidly change between forms. As a bonus action, you can change your dancing style from your Dancing Style feature.

Posted Jul 27, 2021Greetings friends! I've reuploaded this as a "version 1.1" because the last one was poorly done on the back end and the features weren't functioning correctly in the character sheet. I didn't realize before that if I shared it, I would no longer be able to edit it. Now, everything is working as intended, and I've made a couple changes to the features. The subclass is in a spot I'm very happy with! I hope you enjoy it too.
