Base Class: Ranger
All rangers have some skill in tracking. In nature, it was an essential part of hunting, which is a core aspect of the identities of many rangers. You are no exception, but to survive in the modern world, you have adapted those tracking skills to seeking out those on the run.
Detective Magic
You learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Detective Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of spells you know.

Crime Scene Proficiency
You have spent many hours scouring crime scenes, and have developed a knack for spotting inconsistencies. At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Investigation and Survival skills if you don't already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of those proficiencies.
Studied Strikes
With a moment of study, you can discover and exploit a target’s weakest points. Starting at 3rd level, you can use a bonus action to study a creature within 30 feet of you. Until the end of your turn, you have advantage on weapon attack rolls against the target, and you add your Intelligence modifier to the damage if you hit it with a weapon attack.
When you reach 11th level, your attacks against the target this turn also score critical hits on a natural 19 or 20, and the additional damage you deal to it on a hit increases to 1d6 + your Intelligence modifier.
Infallible Spotter
At 7th level, your quick eyes are aided by careful study. You gain advantage on any Intelligence (Investigation) or Wisdom (Survival) check if you move no more than half your speed on the same turn.
Hazardous Intuition
By 11th level, you’ve come across enough ambushes in your time to know when something isn’t quite right. You have advantage on Dexterity saving throws against effects that you can see, such as traps and spells. You also have advantage on initiative checks. To gain these benefits, you can't be blinded, deafened, or incapacitated.
Detective's Hunch
At 15th level, you become fully assured in your gut feelings. Before you make an Insight, Investigation, Perception, or Survival check, you can choose to automatically roll a 20. You can do so a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain expended uses when you finish a long rest.
