Mastery of Death

Beginning at 11th level, you use your familiarity with death to escape its grasp. When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can expend 1 ki point (no action required) to have 1 hit point instead.

Touch of the Long Death

Starting at 17th level, your touch can channel the energy of death into a creature. As an action, you touch one creature within 5 feet of you, and you expend 1 to 10 ki points. The target must make a Constitution saving throw, and it takes 2d10 necrotic damage per ki point spent on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

The Sacrifice of Blood

You receive a talisman made from human skull bone at your initiation of this Way, which is the source of your subclass abilities. This talisman requires blood and vitality to nourish, and occasionally, that of your own. Each time you take a short or long rest, you roll a d20. If the result is smaller than or equal to 5, you cannot spend hit dice (or regain all hit points naturally if it's a long rest) for this rest. You must instead sacrifice 4HP and spend this time doing a ritual to keep it functioning or lose all your Way of Blood and Nirvana subclass abilities until you finish the ritual.

Touch of Death

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your study of death allows you to extract vitality from another creature as it nears its demise. When you reduce a creature within 5 feet of you to 0 hit points, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier + your monk level (minimum of 1 temporary hit point).

the Equilibrium of Muladhara

You activate your first chakra at level 3, the Muladhara. This allows you to find balance in life and death, and your survival instinct will kick in to compensate should you are nearing the realm of death. When your HP is below 25% of max HP, you gain +1 to your AC.

the Passion of Svādhisthāna

Starting at Level 3, you also unlock the second chakra, the Svādhisthāna. This is the chakra that is blocked by mortal's fear of death, and unlocking it gives you a fountain of vitality and confidence, without regard of your life.

You can choose to activate this chakra at any time by sacrificing your own blood, lasting for one minute, during which you lose 4 HP from each attack you make due to the blood loss from exertion, and gains one random effect from the following 4 effects if that attack hits: 1) you gain 8 HP; 2) you stun your enemy for the next round; 3) you get +1 to hit and damage; 4) your enemy is pushed 20 feet.

You can use this ability once, after which you must complete a short or long rest to use it again.

Hour of Reaping

At 6th level, you gain the ability to unsettle or terrify those around you as an action, for your soul has been touched by the shadow of death. When you take this action, each creature within 30 feet of you that can see you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
