Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

A gladiator subclass with emphasis on the use of a Trident and Net.

Savagery

At third level, you gain proficiency in a new skill called Savagery.  For all combat based skill checks that would normally use Performance, you may substitute your Performance check with Savagery.

Glory Points

At third level, Retiarius gain access to a resource called Glory Points that allow them to increase their combat prowess. These points are represented as d8.  At higher levels the dice value will increase. A Retiarius can never have more Glory Points than his Fighter level. A Retiarius begins combat with 0 Glory Points.

Glory Points should be granted to the Retiarius by the Games Master for especially good roll playing. Additionally, One Glory Point can be gained in the following situations.

- Rolling a higher initiative than all enemy creatures

- Scoring a critical hit against an enemy creature

- Making a killing blow against an enemy creature

- Using the Action Surge ability

For every unspent Glory Point in a Retiarius pool, Critical hits do an additional two damage.

Some Retiarius abilities require the targets to make a saving throw. This saving throw is equal to 8 plus proficiency bonus, plus Strength of Dexterity Modifier. Glory Points may be spent in the following ways.

Net Sweep: As a bonus action, the Retiarius may throw his net in a whip like fashion, and add his Glory die roll to the hit roll, on hit the target is proned. On Critical hit, the target is restrained.

Pin: The Retiarius may expend a Glory die to pin the opponents weapon with his own. Add the glory die roll to hit. On hit the opponent is disarmed. On critical hit the opponent is pinned WITH their weapon and the retiarius may make an unarmed strike against them as a bonus action.

Deflect: You may spend a Glory point to deflect a non-magical ranged attack against you. This can be used AFTER the hit roll resolves.

Barrel Through: You may expend 2 Glory Points to charge the target with your trident. You may use 1.5 movement and travel the entire distance with the target in tow. Add the glory die roll to the damage roll.

To the Rescue: If a party member within 30 ft is attacked by and opponent, the Retiarus may expend 2 Glory points as a reaction to prevent the attack by netting them mid swing. The opponent is restrained and must use it's next action to free itself.(edited)
