Sorcerous Rage

1st-level Rage Mage feature

In battle, you cast spells with a fierce connection to your primal emotions. On Your Turn, you can enter a rage as a Bonus Action.

While raging, you gain the following benefits if you aren't wearing armor:

  • You have advantage on Charisma Checks and Saving Throws.
  • When you make a spell Attack using a Sorcerer cantrip, you may add your Charisma modifier to the damage for each target.
  • You have resistance to all damage types except Bludgeoning Piercing and Slashing.
  • Your base AC becomes 12 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier.
  • While Raging, you gain access to the Doublecast Metamagic option at 3rd level.

Doublecast: When you make an attack with a Sorcerer cantrip, you may spend 1 Sorcery Point to cast it again as part of the same action.

You can't concentrate on Spells while raging.

You can't use the Subtle Spell or Careful Spell metamagic options while raging.

Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked Unconscious or if Your Turn ends and you haven't used a damaging spell against a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage on Your Turn as a Bonus Action.

Once you have raged the maximum number of times for your Sorcerer level, you must finish a Long Rest before you can rage again. You may rage 2 times at 1st Level, 3 at 3rd, 4 at 6th, 5 at 12th, and 6 at 17th.

Improved Doublecast

6th-level Rage Mage feature

The Doublecast Metamagic is now valid for Sorcerer spells of 1st-3rd level, costing 2 Sorcery points to cast the spell again as part of the same action when used for a leveled spell.

Triplecast

14th-level Rage Mage feature

While Raging, if you have cast a Cantrip using the Doublecast feature, you may expend an additional Sorcery Point to cast it a third time.

Improved Triplecast

18th-level Rage Mage feature

Doublecast and Triplecast are now effective for spells up to 5th level. When using these abilities on a 4th or 5th level spell, the Sorcery Point cost becomes 3 instead of 2. When using Triplecast on a 1st-3rd level spell, the additional Sorcery Points required to add a third casting is 2.
