Base Class: Warlock
Your patron is a woman that has experienced much sadness and tragedy in her life. After a time, Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, discovered a great strength within herself to, quite literally, change the reality she was destined to live.
This being’s motivations are often fueled in her grief and loneliness with the pure, simple desire to make her and her family's lives better by any means necessary. Rumors of her wandering the planes in search of her lost children have been whispered as faerie tales, but some swear to have been adopted by her and taken under the protection of her House of M.
Expanded Spell List
The Scarlet Witch lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Touch of Reality
Starting at 1st level, your pact with the Scarlet Witch gives you the ability to manipulate fragments of reality with chaos magic.
You learn the mage hand cantrip and may cast it and control it as a bonus action. You can cast it without verbal or somatic components. This spell, and all other spells that deal force or psychic damage, are denoted by an aura of visible, red chaos energy that glow with dim light (5 ft). Depending on your relationship and connection with The Scarlet Witch, the color of your chaos magic may change.
Additionally, your mage hand can be used in the following ways a number of times equal to your Charisma bonus per long rest:
- As a bonus action, you may shove a creature using your mage hand. Make a ranged spell attack using your Charisma modifier and proficiency bonus contested by the target's Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (the target chooses the ability to use). You succeed automatically if the target is incapacitated. If you succeed, you either knock the target prone or push it 5 feet away from you.
- You may deliver a spell with a range of touch through your mage hand.
Wellspring of Chaos
Starting at 6th level, your link to the Scarlet Witch allows you to serve as a conduit for chaos magic. You have resistance to psychic damage, and when you cast a spell that deals force or psychic damage, you can add your Charisma modifier to one force or psychic damage roll of that spell against one of its targets.
Reality Shield
Starting at 10th level, Your chaos magic shields you and your allies from the physical dangers of reality. While concentrating on a spell, you gain a +1 bonus to AC if you are not wearing medium armor, heavy armor, or a shield.
Additionally, while concentrating on a spell, you and your allies within 5 feet of you may reduce the damage you take from bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage that you take from nonmagical sources by an amount equal to your Charisma modifier.
Chaotic Mutation
At 14th level, your practice of chaos magic has mutated your very being, granting you the following benefits:
- The carrying capacity of your mage hand increases to equal ten times your Warlock level.
- You gain a magical flying speed of 15 ft while concentrating on a spell.
- You can cast mirage arcane once per long rest.

Posted Mar 2, 2022Okay I figured out the issue! Phantasmal Force and Dissonant Whispers are spells that come from the Players Handbook. To create homebrew content on D&D Beyond, any spells or abilities that are utilized in the subclass (outside of linking have to come from the Basic Rules/System Reference Document which is free to everyone.
Until the service decides to change their policy, I would suggest making a homebrew feat to allow your player access to the spells, using Magic Initiate as a template, but swapping the spell levels. I have a similar one here that I've used in past campaigns that works well. https://www.dndbeyond.com/feats/634464-amberly-pendragons-broken-as-heck-magic-tutalage

Posted Feb 28, 2022We have a player trying to run this subclass in our new campaign. We realized that the following spells did not come up on the list of spells to add from: dissonant whispers and phantasmal force.
