Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Truth is one taken by those paladins that seek to root out corruption and subterfuge from the political and religious powers of the world, ensuring that those that hold power are worthy of their positions in the world. Revered by the common people and reviled by those with something to hide, the paladins of truth are beacons of hope and justice wherever they go, and are often allied with the forces of good. Many who swear this oath are devoted to gods of lawfulness and good, while others choose to serve in this way not in reverence of a deity, but in response to their own internal need and passion to uncover the truth of dangerous secrets and root out the corruption of distinguished bodies of power.
TENETS OF TRUTH
Though there are no exact words of the Oath of Truth, paladins of this oath share these tenets.
Uncover. It is the responsibility of all who are capable to uncover and expose dangerous truths hidden from the common people.
Cleanse. It is not enough to simply find corruption: it is your duty to root it out and cleanse an organisation of its corrupt nature.
Be Honest. If you are to root out the deception and corruption of others, you yourself must not utilise their underhanded tactics.
No Secret Is Safe. No matter the perpetrator or their relationship to you, their dark secrets must be exposed to the masses if truth is to be upheld.

Channel Divinity
3rd-level Oath of Truth feature
You gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.
Perceive Truth. As a bonus action, you can use your Channel Divinity to augment your insight. For the next 10 minutes, you have advantage on Wisdom (Insight), Intelligence (Investigation), and Wisdom (Perception) checks; other creatures have disadvantage on Charisma (Deception) checks against you; and your passive Investigation and Perception scores increase by 5.
Uncover Weakness. As a bonus action, you can determine the weak spots in one opponent you can see. Until the end of your current turn, all attack rolls you make against that chosen opponent are at advantage.
Aura of Revelations
7th- and 18th-level Oath of Truth feature
You emanate a 5 foot aura that eats away at illusory magic to reveal truth. While you are conscious, any illusory magic cast at a level equal to half your paladin level rounded down is rendered useless against you so long as it is within your aura's radius, as your aura allows you to see through it immediately.
When you reach 18th level in this class, the range of the aura increases to 10 feet.
Paragon of Honesty
15th-level Oath of Truth feature
You are a paragon of honesty, and your will is unbending. You gain advantage on all saving throws made against charm effects and on all Wisdom (Insight) checks you make. Additionally, once per short rest, you can use your Channel Divinity: Uncover Weakness feature without expending a use of your Channel Divinity feature.
Emissary of Truth
20th-level Oath of Truth feature
You are an emissary of truth, both empowered by your honesty and capable of bringing the truth out of others. As a bonus action, you gain the following benefits for 1 minute:
- You are blessed with an honest aura, gaining advantage on all Wisdom (Insight), Intelligence (Investigation), and Wisdom (Perception) checks.
- You gain advantage on all attack rolls you make against a target you can see.
- You can cast the zone of truth spell at will without expending a spell slot.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a 5th-level spell slot to use it again.
