Base Class: Paladin
Those who take up the Oath of Unrest are paladins, either of a great order or acting alone, bound to a sacred Oath that guided them through life and death. After either moments or years, some of these paladins are brought back through vile and perverted magics, typically by powerful necromancers or by a Lich, they now hang in a state between life and death. Forced to live in this tormented state, these paladins now roam the world either trying to live the life they previously took for granted or embracing their status as a member of the undead army, abandoning the world of the living.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Control Undead. As an action, the paladin targets one undead creature he or she can see within 30 feet of him or her. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target must obey the paladin’s commands for the next 24 hours, or until the paladin uses this Channel Divinity option again. An undead whose challenge rating is equal to or greater than the paladin’s level is immune to this effect.
Deadly Strike. You can use your Channel Divinity to make a weapon deadlier. As a bonus action, you touch one weapon or piece of ammunition and conjure a necrotic shroud around it. The shroud lasts for 1 minute. The next time you hit a target with an attack using that weapon or ammunition, the target takes necrotic damage immediately after the attack. The necrotic damage equals 2d10 + your paladin level.
Unholy Nature
- Your holy symbol has become an unholy relic.
- Any spell you were to cast that does radiant damage will do necrotic damage instead. This includes your divine smite and later on, improved divine smite. Your divine smite damage now increases by 1d8 if the target is a celestial or an elemental, to a maximum of 6d8 and no longer does so to undead or fiends.
- Your lay on hands can also affect undead
Necromancy
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the power of undeath and have learned to draw on necromatic powers to cast necromancy spells.
Spellcasting Focus
You can use your unholy relic as a spellcasting focus for your spells.

Aura of Pestilence
Starting 7th level, at the start of your turn any hostile creature within 5 feet of you makes a Constitution saving throw with a DC equal to your spell save DC. The hostile creature takes 1d4 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. You heal for half as much damage that is done.
The damage increases by 1d4 at 11th level, 16th level, and at 20th level.
This aura is not affected by range increasing features or spells.
This may not affect more than three targets of your choice within range.
Ripped from the Grave
Starting at 15th level, when you are reduced to 0 hit points and are not killed outright, you can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead as a reaction. Once you use this ability, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Additionally, you suffer none of the drawbacks of old age, you can’t be aged magically, and you gain resistance to necrotic damage.
Avatar of Death
At 20th level, once per long rest, as an action, you may become an Avatar of Death for one minute. While in this form, you cannot be charmed or frightened. Your base move speed is doubled, and you are unaffected by both magical and non-magical difficult terrain.
All necrotic damage you do bypasses resistance and immunity to necrotic damage.
