Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

For some barbarians, rage is a means to an end—that end being violence. The Path of the Berserker is a path of untrammeled fury, slick with blood. As you enter the berserker’s rage, you thrill in the chaos of battle, heedless of your own health or well-being.

Frenzy

3rd-level Path of the Berserker feature

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can go into a frenzy when you rage. While you are in a frenzy, once on each of your turns when you make a weapon attack using the Attack action, you can make one additional weapon attack at disadvantage as part of the same action. When your rage ends, make a DC 5 Constitution saving throw. If you fail this saving throw, you suffer one level of exhaustion.

Each time you use this feature after the first, the DC increases by 5. When you finish a long rest, the DC resets to 5.

Blooded Fury

3rd-level Path of the Berserker feature

Whenever you would take damage that would reduce your hit points below half, you can automatically (no action required) enter a rage, provided you are not already raging. When you enter your rage using this feature and you have no more uses left of your rage, you spend a hit die to enter the rage. You then take necrotic damage equal to the number rolled on the hit die. This damage ignores resistance and immunity.

Mindless Rage

6th-level Path of the Berserker feature

You can’t be charmed, frightened, or possessed while raging. If you are charmed, frightened, or possessed when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage.

Intimidating Presence

10th-level Path of the Berserker feature

Your presence brings fear to all whom suffer your wrath. When you hit a creature with one of your weapon attacks, you can spend your bonus action to attempt to frighten someone. If the creature can see or hear you, it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or be frightened of you until the end of your next turn. This effect ends if the creature ends its turn out of line of sight or more than 60 feet away from you.

If the creature succeeds on its saving throw, it is immune to this feature until the next short or long rest.

Retaliation

14th-level Path of the Berserker feature

When you take damage from a creature that is within your reach, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature. On a hit, you can perform your Intimidating Presence as part of the same reaction.
