Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Stalwart defenders are a living shield for their allies, always ready to put their life on the line to protect them. Theirs is an inspiring presence on the battlefield, which raises the morale of their teammates and keeps them fighting.

As a stalwart defender, you will improve your defensive capabilities as well as your ability of protecting your allies from both attacks and magic.

Inspiring Presence

At 3rd level, whenever an ally within 30 feet of you makes a saving throw, you can spend your reaction to grant them advantage on that roll. That ally must be able to see or hear you to benefit from this feature.

You can use this feature again after you complete a short or long rest.

Shield Strike

Starting at 3rd level, when you are wearing a shield and take the Attack action on your turn, you can use your bonus action to attack with your shield. You are proficient in this attack and it deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage, plus your Strength modifier.

The damage increases to 1d8 at 10th level.

Battlecry

At 7th level, you can try provoking hostile creatures near you as a bonus action. Any creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that can see or hear you must make a Wisdom saving throw with a DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Charisma modifier (you choose which). On a failed save, they suffer disadvantage on all attacks rolls against any target that isn't you until the start of your next turn.

Raised Shield

At 10th level, when you are wielding a shield, you can protect yourself from certain area effects, such as a blue dragon’s lightning breath or a fireball spell. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.

Defender's Dash

At 15th level, when an ally within 30 feet of you is targeted by an attack, you can spend your reaction to move adjacently to that ally and within the attack's range, and force the attacker to target you instead.

You must be able to reach a space that satisfies those condition with your movement to use this feature.

Unwavering

At 18th level, your will is so strong that you can shake off most ailments with ease. You add half your proficiency bonus to all saving throws.

In addition, when you use the Indomitable feature, you also gain advantage on the saving throw.
