Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The Path of the Storm is not to be taken lightly. It is open only to those that dare to channel it's raw and primal energy. Those marked by the storm must endure it's trials to become it's chosen. Many have fallen in this pursuit but the few that survived have become the storm itself.

Stormfury

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can channel the power of a storm into your weapon strikes. When you enter your rage you can also choose to use Stormfury.

Until your rage ends you gain the following benefits:

  • Your melee attacks deal an additional 1d4 Lightning damage. The damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 1d8 at 9th level and 1d12 at 14th level.
  • Attacks of opportunity made against you have disadvantage.

The first time you do so, you suffer no adverse effects. If you use this feature again before you finish a long rest, you take 1d12 lightning damage. Each time you use this feature again before finishing a long rest, the lightning damage increases by 1d12. This damage ignores resistance and immunity.

Lightning Conductor

Starting at 6th level, the power of the storm that fuels your rage can protect you. While you are raging you gain resistance to lightning and thunder damage.

Thunderstruck

At 10th level, your attacks carry the weight of a storm behind them. While Stormfury is active, your melee attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. In addition, any damage you deal ignores resistance to lightning damage and treats immunity to lightning damage as resistance to lightning damage.

Chosen of the Storm

Beginning at 14th level, you have become a storm yourself and truly learned to wield its power. You no longer suffer any adverse effects from using Stormfury. In addition, while Stormfury is active your movement provokes no attacks of opportunity.
