Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Rhythm are said to hear songs or percussive beats at all times, so that all of them could play or dance in time with the rest no matter the distance between them. Such bards tend to prefer drums or dance to more stereotypical instruments, and seem to change their demeanor based on the rhythm they have attuned.
Rhythm Within
Starting at 3rd level, you can always hear one of several Rhythms in your mind. As a bonus action, or when you use Bardic Inspiration, you can attune to one of the Rhythms below, gaining the associated feature. A creature that has a Bardic Inspiration die from you also gains the benefit of your currently attuned Rhythm.
- War. You can give yourself advantage on one attack roll that make on your turn. You can use this benefit a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus.
- Peace. You have advantage on Deception and Persuasion checks.
- Secrets. You have advantage on Sleight of Hand and Stealth checks.
- Joy. You have advantage on Performance checks.
- Fortitude. You have advantage on Acrobatics and Athletics checks.
- Haste. Your speed increases by 5 feet.
- Knowledge. You gain proficiency in History and one other skill or tool of your choice.
- Resolve. Once per short rest, when you fail a saving throw, you can reroll the die and use the new result instead.
Rhythm Between
Starting at 6th level, when you use Bardic Inspiration, you can choose one additional creature within 60 feet of you—that creature also gains a Bardic Inspiration die. You can choose more additional creatures when you reach certain levels in this class—two at 11 level and three at 17 level.
Rhythm Without
Starting at 14th level, once per short rest, when a creature with a Bardic Inspiration die from you scores a killing blow or critical hit, or succeeds on a saving throw, you can regain one use of Bardic Inspiration.
