Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Golden Gunslingers are a strange sort even among the strange sorts that rogues often are. In some ways they have more in common with paladins than with other rogues. A golden gunslinger uses their willpower to harness divine magic to summon a weapon said to unleash the power of the sun itself.

Golden Gun

Starting at 3rd level, you can use an action to summon a magical ranged weapon into your hand and fire it. This weapon has a range of 40 feet and a long range of 120 feet and deals 2d6 plus your Dexterity modifier radiant damage on a hit. A creature reduced to zero hit points by this attack is disintegrated. You can fire your golden gun three times and regain expended uses after a short or long rest. When you gain this feature at third level, choose one of the following three benefits for  your golden gun: Deadeye, Combustion, or Gunfighter.

Combustion

If you kill a creature with your Golden Gun, it explodes. All other creatures within 5 feet of it must make a Dexterity saving throw. The DC is equal to 8 plus your Proficiency Bonus plus your Dexterity modifier. Roll half the number of Sneak Attack dice for your level (round up), and a creature that fails the save takes radiant damage equal to the roll’s total, while a creature that passes the save takes half as much damage.

Deadeye

You gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls with your Golden Gun.

Gunfighter

You can fire your Golden Gun four times between rests instead of three times.

Marksman

When you choose this class at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in firearms.

Grenade

Starting at 9th level, you can summon radiant power into the palm of your hand in the form of a grenade. You can launch a grenade at a creature as a bonus action. The creature must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 plus your Proficiency Bonus plus your Dexterity modifier). Roll half the number of Sneak Attack dice for your level (round up), and a creature that fails the save takes fire damage equal to the roll’s total, while a creature that passes the save takes half as much damage.

When you gain this feature, choose one of the following three grenades: Incendiary, Swarm, or Tripmine.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

Incendiary Grenade

A creature that fails its save catches on fire and takes 1d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns until it uses an action to put out the fire.

Swarm Grenade

When this grenade explodes, all creatures within 5 feet of the target must make a Dexterity saving throw as if you had targeted them with the grenade.

Tripmine Grenade

This grenade is not destroyed in the initial explosion and instead enters a dormant state. At the start of your next turn it reactivates. The next time a creature enters the grenade’s space or starts its turn there, the grenade explodes again and is destroyed as if you had targeted that creature with the grenade. If the grenade is not triggered within 1 minute it dissipates harmlessly.

Triple Jump

When you jump, you can jump again while in midair up to two times, with each additional jump covering the same distance as the initial jump.

Golden Throwing Knife

When you reach 17th level, you gain the ability to summon a fiery blade in your hand to throw at your foes. As an action you can conjure a golden knife in your hand and throw it at a creature. It is a ranged weapon with a range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. It deals 1d6 plus your Dexterity modifier fire damage on a hit. When you gain this ability, choose one of the following three benefits: Circle of Life, Incendiary Blade, or Knife Juggler. You can change the chosen benefit at the conclusion of a long rest.

Circle of Life

When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with your golden knife, you regain a usage of your golden gun. You can regain its use in this way once per short rest.

Incendiary Blade

When you hit a creature with your throwing knife, it catches on fire and takes 1d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns until it uses an action to put out the fire.

Knife Juggler

When you score a critical hit with your golden knife, you can summon another golden knife and make an attack with it as a bonus action.
