Base Class: Cleric
There are those who are on the eternal hunt for knowledge, power, and respect in all its forms. Clerics of the seeker domain have an intense thirst for what they know as 'the hunt': a burning desire to track and outmatch an opponent with their cunning and their strength. They are constantly searching for new threats, always willing to take on a challenging task if it will test their skills.
Gods of the seeker include the Archangels Rykiel and Aziraphiel, and the Archdemon Lord Tolarius. Sometimes, seeker domain clerics will follow the Mother directly.
Seeker Domain
When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency in the stealth and survival skill, and you gain proficiency with martial weapons.
Channel Divinity: Marked for Death
Starting at 2nd level, you can mark a target for death. As a bonus action, you can use your Channel Divinity to mark a creature you can see within 60 feet for 1 minute. This effect ends early if you are incapacitated or you die, or if someone else marks the creature using this feature.
While the mark persists, you add your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1) to damage rolls against the creature and the marked creature can’t benefit from being invisible.
If the target drops to 0 hit points before the mark ends, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Cleric level + your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1 temporary hit point). These temporary hit points last for 1 hour.
Seeker's Instincts
Once you reach 6th level, you are an expert tracker of both creatures and knowledge. You can track a creature even if it is masked through magical means. In addition, you can still track an object if is masked by a nondetection spell or similar magic.
Also, you can add your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1) to ability checks made to track a creature or object while they aren't under the effects of nondetection or similar magic.
Divine Strike
At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 radiant damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Apex Seeker
Finally, at 17th level, when you cast a divination spell of 5th level or lower, you can choose to empower the spell. You no longer require concentration on the empowered spell and the spell's duration is doubled, up to a maximum of 8 hours. Only one spell may gain this benefit at a time, and you can end a spell cast this way on your turn (no action required).
