Base Class: Fighter
The warlord is a military leader, a skilled commander gifted with tactical genius, keen insight, an inspiring personality, or some other asset that convinces others to follow him or her into danger. Warlords draw from their experiences and the maneuvers and tactics used by their predecessors to dictate a battle’s terms. Their commands compel others to action. Their plans can shatter an enemy’s offensive. Even their mere words can stir hearts and ease wounds. With a warlord in charge, there’s little an adventuring group cannot do.
Natural Leader
3rd-level Warlord Feature
You learn a set of skills that help you convince others to follow your lead and help achieve your goals. You gain proficiency in Persuasion skill and one of the following skills of your choice: Animal Handling, Insight, Intimidation, or Performance. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses Persuasion.
Rallying Cry
3rd-level Warlord Feature
You learn to inspire your allies to fight past their injuries and rally them to your side. As an action, you choose a number of friendly creatures equal to your proficiency bonus that are within 60 feet of you. If they can see and hear you, they gain temporary hit points equal to 1d10 + your Charisma modifier, and they can use their reaction to move toward you up to half their movement speed without provoking attacks of opportunity.
Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again. You gain additional uses of the Rallying Cry ability at 7th and 15th levels.
Commanding Presence
7th-level Warlord Feature
You and any friendly creature within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against the charmed and frightened conditions. Friendly creatures are inspired by your Commanding Presence and gain a bonus to these saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). You must be conscious to grant this bonus.
When you reach 12th level, your Commanding Presence aura range increases to 20 feet. At 17th level, the range of your aura increases to 30 feet.
Victory Rush
10th-level Warlord Feature
When you use your Action Surge feature, you can choose a number of allies equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) within 60 feet of you. Those creatures can make one melee or ranged weapon attack with their reaction, provided they can see or hear you.
Inspiring Presence
15th-level Warlord Feature
Your presence can inspire your allies to perform at the peak of their capacity when odds are against them. When a friendly creature within 60 feet of you fails a saving throw you can use your reaction to allow them to reroll that saving throw with a bonus to the roll equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Improved Rallying Cry
18th-level Warlord Feature
Your ability to rally your allies improves. When you use the Rallying Cry ability, the affected creatures can move up to their full speed toward you when they use their reaction, and they gain immunity to charmed and frightened until the beginning of your next turn. If any of the affected creatures were under the effects of a charmed or frightened condition when you use this ability, all these effects are removed.
