Base Class: Druid
There are no tomes dedicated to this manipulation. There has been no time for academics, only the practical—and not in a manner that mitigates risk. Power in a raw form has found an outlet, both visible and in ways that only we of arcane proclivity can sense. The risk is great.
Rift Mages manipulate the Fade and the Veil and uses them both as a resource to produce powerful magic. Rift Mages take their mastery of the Fade to the next level with this specialization, allowing them to weaken their enemies or dragging and throwing their opponents across the field like rag dolls.
Warp the Veil
At 2nd level, you can mark a single target you can see within 60ft by weakening the barrier between the material and fade realm for one minute. You can weaken them, by reducing their attack damage by 1d8. Or strengthening the veil, so your attacks deal an extra 1d8 force damage.
You can only warp one target at a time, and you can switch who is warped as a bonus action on your turn. Or when that target dies, you can change target as a free action. Regardless, it ends after a minute.
At 10th level, your Weaken/Strengthen dice becomes a 1d10.
You can warp up to your proficiency per long rest.
Herald of Spirits
At 2nd level, being a conduit of the fade, the veil displaces otherworldly damage thrown at you. Gaining resistance to force damage. If you are in the fade, you gain resistance to all damage while you are in there.
Extended Spell List
At 3rd level, by drawing from the fade, you gain access to rare magic that not many people see. You have access to the Warlock spell list and can cast them as if they were Druid spells.
Fade Transformations
At 6th level, you can wildshape into creatures native to the fade. You can now wildshape into fiends, fey, and celestials, following the same rules as wildshape. It also consumes both uses of wildshape.
Fade Step
At 10th level, you quickly step in and out of the fade to quickly travel, or avoid damage. As an action, you can teleport anywhere you can see within 60ft of you. Or as a reaction, when you are about to he hit by an attack you disappear into the fade until the start of your next turn. While in either state, you under similar effects to etherealness.
You can do this an amount of times equal to your wisdom modifier per long rest.
Overflow
At 14th level you can quickly restore magic by tapping into the veil. As an action on your turn, you can restore a spell slot equal or less than half your Druid level. This costs one use of your wildshape.
