Base Class: Barbarian
A Celestial’s body rests suspended in the upper planes, lifeless. Their divine flesh, void of light or color, now exists as a gravity syphon pulling in any stray creature that stumbles too close. This unrelenting force is not bound by the shackles of sentience. It does not recognize good nor evil and attempts to bargain or reason with it will be like hurling insults into a hurricane. Unsurprisingly mortals have devised ways to imitate or even harness the power of this black void’s gravitational force. Some use their mind or magics to comprehend its vast influence on the universe while others use their empty hearts and anger to relate to its deep hunger.
Barbarians who follow the path of the Celestial Corpse turn their unyielding rage into a gravity altering force of nature. Drag enemies toward you with the power of a black hole and devastate the battlefield with the gravitational force of a dying star.
Gravity Sink
Starting at 3 level when you enter your rage you become a black hole pulling everything toward you. Entering a rage activates the Gravity Sink effect which will start pulling all creatures in a 15ft radius of you. All creatures within the range of Gravity Sink will have half movement when moving away from you.
Creatures experiencing the pull of the Gravity Sink become easy targets for your brutal attacks. When attacking creatures within the radius of the Gravity Sink feature you will add your bonus Rage Damage to your attack roll as well as your damage roll.
Ravenous Vacuum
At 6 level the hunger of the fallen celestial bursts from your body pulling your enemies, all at once, toward their demise. On your bonus action you can pull all target creatures within your Gravity Sink toward you. All target creatures must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC is equal to 8 + your constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus) or be moved against their will. On successful saving throws the creatures will not be moved, but on failed saving throws creatures will be pulled 10 feet toward you. Any creatures who are already within 5 feet of you will instead be knocked prone on a failed Strength saving throw.
This feature can be used a number of times equal to your number of rages and all expended uses will be returned after a long rest.
Polarity Reverse
A 10 level a Celestial Corpse Barbarian unlocks the ability to reverse the pulling effect of their gravity powers. You can use the Jump and Feather Fall spells without the cost of a spell slot or needing to use material components.
Once you have used each of these spells once you can not do so again until you have completed a short or long rest.
Indiscriminate Hunger
Also, at 10 level you learn to focus the pull of your Gravity Sink ability and are now able to pull small objects or even spells out of the air. When a projectile or a spell attack crosses through your Gravity Sink area of effect you can use your reaction to redirect it toward you instead of its intended target. The ranged attack or spell attack roll will stay the same and will hit you if it beats your AC.
Singularity Strike
Use the force of gravity to its full extent with this Singularity Strike ability. At 14 level while raging you can send opponents floating into the air with your melee attacks before sending them hurtling back to earth. Once on each of your turns, immediately after hitting a target with a melee attack you can choose to halve the damage your attack would deal and instead reverse gravity’s effect on them sending them floating into the sky. After rolling your attack damage and halving it and roll a d4, the outcome of which will determine how many turns the creature will spend floating upward.
Creatures sent floating from this ability will rise 10ft each turn and will not be able to take movement. At the beginning of each turn the floating creature will make a Dexterity saving throw (DC is equal to 8 + your constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus), a failed saving throw will mean they take disadvantage on any attack, saving throw, or skill check they make until their next turn. Creatures with the ability to fly, through spells or physical means, will not be able to do so while under the effects of this feature. The floating effect will end early if you come out of rage or move the Gravity Sink feature out from under the floating creature. The creature will fall at the end of your turn after finishing the appropriate number of turns floating (based on the d4 roll). The fall damage this creature will experience will be rolled with d8s instead of the usual d6s, the number of which will be determined by the height they fell from.
This feature can be used a number of times equal to your number of rages and all expended uses will be returned after a long rest.
