Hey all, after setting up an encounter for my party underwater, I started poring over the rules for underwater combat. Included in this are the rules for Underwater Visibility. I first noticed it here (as this is my go-to source for compendium content despite having the actual books immediately accessible), but when I thought it was odd I checked my DMG and found the same problem. In the Unusual Environments section of the DMG (page 117), there is a table that lists how far away a character can see in varying conditions. This, however, is where the problem lies: the title for the left-hand column of this table is "Creature Size", not "water quality" or anything similar.
Now, of course, this isn't the end of the world. It's one small typo in a section that I doubt anyone reading this has ever looked at outside of doing a cover-to-cover of the book, and it is easy to use context clues to replace the error. Even still, I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or perhaps if there has been some official acknowledgement of the error. Also, if anyone has any idea what the column should actually be labeled, I'd love to know.
1. This site replicates the books faithfully. If there is a typo in the books, then that typo appears here.
2. D&D Beyond cannot do anything about typos in official content. They didn't write or publish it. You'll need to take it up with Wizards of the Coast.
3. This forum (Rules & Game Mechanics) is for discussion on the implementation of certain rules and game mechanics and interpreting the Rules-as-Written in gameplay. For errors, typos, bugs and such, you should post in the Bugs & Support forum.

My apologies; I didn't make the purpose of my initial post clear. This was more of a discussion post regarding the error I noticed, not calling out for staff to address it or anything. I wholly understand that DDB and WotC are separate entities and that the site does not have authority to alter books etc etc. The reason I posted here instead of elsewhere was because this is less of reporting an error in DDB and more of discussing a trivial printing oversight in the actual DMG.
