This is so weird... My player's account got forcibly cloned then changed... My player's account is NewbieGamer14 the one that has ownership of his character is NewbieGamer1475871.
I would appreciate the help of a moderator. The character he has lost is named Escanor The Great.
More likely than not, this is probably a case of having accidentally used two separate login methods, creating two separate accounts, as both accounts were created on the same day. There was some recent site maintenance that required the forced logout of every user account, and it's likely that your friend logged back in using the other login method. Have them log out and attempt to log in with a different method than what they used to log back in after this forced logout.
Really? I’m pretty sure he signed up with google both times, I’m also wondering what the random numbers in front of the “new owners” username are about.
If there are different usernames, then the player has multiple accounts and has used a different sign in method with each. They will need to raise a Support Ticket (http://dndbeyond.link/SubmitTicket) in order to request assistance to delete the one they don't want to keep (Support can help move characters across to the remaining account).
