So I am designing a custom sorcerer subclass. I have a bunch of spells added to the class, which do NOT show up as spells you know automatically. I have tried listed the spells in the Additional Specific Spells list in the basic information section. I have tried added the spells in the Spells section of the additional spells feature (the equivalent of Clockwork Magic, or any paladin Oath Spells feature). Neither of these methods seems to automatically give me the spells in my spells list in the character builder - though it does allow me to choose them for spells outside of the normal class spell list - it does not automatically add them as spells that don't count against my known number of spells.
If anyone has any idea of how to fix this, please drop it as a response it would be highly appreciated.
If these are spells you want the sorcerer subclass to know automatically, they belong in Additional Specific Spells (Note that they will only become available when you're at a Sorcerer level where spells of that level can be learned.) You then need to Save Changes, and it might take up to 20 minutes for changes in homebrew to percolate to character sheets.

That won’t work work for Sorcerers (unless they’ve changed things), that will only work for casters that prepare their spells (Artificers, Clerics, Druids, Paladins).
You need to create a class feature to grant them (like the Aberrant Mind/Clockwork Soul), and add each spell individually under [ADD A SPELL]. Then you need to set “Consumes Spell Slot” = Yes, “Counts as Known” = No.
Ahhh, right, I lost track of that: if it's a class with Spells Known and not Prepared, then the Additional Specific Spells just adds them to their list of spells they can choose from, instead of making them Always Known.

I have this, doesn't really seem to work. I have always prepared set to yes is that messing things up?

Disregard what I previously said. It worked for the cantrip and one of the 1st level spells I have given the class - produce flame and burning hands. it does not seem to be working for the other spells I should have access to.
Each one needs the following fields: Spell, Consumes Spell Slot, Counts as Known, Available at Level (leave all other fields, dropdowns, and checkboxes untouched).
After you add all of the spells you MUST re-save the entire Homebrew using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information. After that allow at least 20 minutes for the updates to push through. You may also need to “wake up” your character sheet. Raise the character level by 1 and then lower it again.

Ah ok got it sorted. Thanks

I shall give that a shot, thanks a lot.

Nevermind, thanks a lot Sposta! It works now.

Did you add each spell individually?
