I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this or not, I don't wander into the forums too frequently.
Is it possible to restrict or filter the Equipment List my players see so that it only includes items from the source books I've shared with them in the campaign? I'm playing a Forgotten Realm campaign, and my players are asking about items from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, a book I don't have in my collection.
Content sharing restrictions only apply to compendium content.
There is no way to restrict options in the character builder and character sheet via content sharing. If content sharing is on, everything that everyone has access to will get shared for the character builder and character sheet.
This particular scenario isn't happening in their character sheets or builder - this is simply accessed by going to the the 'Game Rules' menu option, and choosing equipment. I believe that is the compendium isn't it?
To the best of my knowledge, these players are only in my campaign, they have no access to other campaigns or content sharing from other sources.

The compendium is what you access by going to Sources and choosing a particular “book.” I’m not sure if with content sharing you can see items in the listings (Game Rules>Equipment/Spells/Magic Items/etc.).
Content shared items are viewable in the listings. I don't own EGtW, for example, and I can see items from it in all of those listings. Some of those allow you to filter by certain books (eg the spells page or the magic items page) but others (equipment page) do not.

Birgit | Shifter | Sorcerer | Dragonlords
Shayone | Hobgoblin | Sorcerer | Netherdeep
Seems odd we would be able to filter spells/magic items, but not equipment.
Thanks for the clarification. Maybe they'll add it as a feature later.
