Created my Hexblade Warlock. Shield is an added spell option through the Hexblade spell list, and it is listed as a known spell under "spells" available to cast. When I click on manage spells it is not in my known spells, nor is it "known" in the character creation menu. Only Shield shows up, not Wratthful Smite, Blur, or Branding Smite (level 3 character). To clarify: Shield is not a spell I ever selected as a known spell.
My assumption would be that you are using a homebrew version of the subclass that is mapped incorrectly. Are you playing this character in a campaign with content sharing enabled and someone who owns Xanithars Guide to Everything on D&DBeyond?
Yeah, that's a homebrew subclass. The creator was probably adding some patron spells via a subclass feature with Spells instead of the usual route for adding spells, in order to "help" players have them as free known spells. But it looks like they haven't covered all the spells (and Blur and Branding Smite are in the Basic Rules, so that shouldn't be a limiting factor.)
I'll back up Conal and ask if you're using this character in a campaign with Content Sharing that gives access to Xanathar's? If you're not able to read this section about the Hexblade, then definitely not.
Perhaps the DM or someone else in the campaign is trying to make a private homebrew subclass to give you access to Hexblade without needing to have a Master Tier subscription, which is allowed, but can run into issues like this.

Can you provide a link to the character for myself or another mod to look at?
