I created a monk character because I was playing around with a few different character ideas, but when I leveled it to Level 4, I noticed the speed wasn't increasing like it was supposed to be, and then I noticed the unarmed strike wasn't being calculated correctly, giving me the strength based unarmed strike I would normally have for a non-monk character. Is anyone else having this issue? My older character monk sheets are fine, but I also noticed this bug on my fighter/monk multiclass, not providing me with the correct unarmed strike information once more.
Is your strength higher than your dex? With Unarmed Strike it says you can use dex in place of strength. DndBeyond defaults to whatever is higher. It also doesn't adjust for weapons that aren't monk weapons (which are shortswords and any simple melee weapons that don’t have the two-handed or heavy property) even if you have proficiency with them.

It's unarmored movement. Double check that they don't have armor or a shield equipped -- I've seen that be the issue before.

Thank you, that does make the speed fix itself. But that still doesn't explain why the unarmed strike isn't being calculated correctly.

Nvm, it just showed up? Maybe a temporary bug.
