I run several campaigns. Homebrew is legal in some and some only limited to a very specific set of items that I give out. I was wondering if homebrew options could be clearly marked as such in windows like feat selection and subclass selections? That way a newer player doesn't get confused to what's official rules and what's added on. This is particularly problematic with backgrounds and spells. Took me a while searching before I realized "Elemental Blast" wasn't an official spell, instead being a homebrew that got added to my campaign because of one of my players' access to their collections, not even mine.
The way to tell if something is homebrew is to click on the spell/item and see what the details say. If it shows a Source: field, it's official; if it shows a Version: field, it's homebrew.

Thank you!

Whenever I make homebrew I put an * in the name for that exact reason.
