I’ve made a home brewed race and one of its racial traits gives it an action that forces a target to make a saving throw, is there any way i can add the characters modifiers to the save DC on the action’s sheet
Yes! When setting up the action, you'll choose the type of saving throw that the enemy is forced to make, like so:
... and then you will be able to choose the ability score type from which your homebrew race's save DC is calculated:
For example, if you were to create an action where the enemy had to make a Constitution saving throw against your save DC that was based on Charisma, you would set Save Type to CON and then Ability Score Type to CHA.
You can also use snippet codes to make the save DC show up in the action snippet. In this case, using Charisma, in the snippet you could write ...
(DC {{savedc:cha}})
... and have the number appear right in the action snippet.
Proficiency bonus is already included in save DC. The standard formula is: 8 + proficiency bonus + ability modifier. When selecting the appropriate Ability Score Type in an action, or using the {{savedc:XXX}} snippet code, the correct save DC will automatically be calculated depending on the character's proficiency bonus.
Sorry, I'm super late to this party, but when I try to do this, on the characters page it shows that it needs a +6 to hit and then lists the saving throw in the actions description. Is there a way to fix that?

What exactly is this for? A homebrewed Action?
I’m not entirely sure I understand what you mean is happening where, but I think you mean that the action line with the damage rollable is displaying as an attack with an attack bonus, but you want it to instead show the save DC. Is that correct? If so, you must have designated an “Attack Range,” which triggers the system to display it as an attack with a modifier instead of a forced save with a DC. Simply delete the entry under “attack range” and just use the “range” field instead and it should solve your problem.
If I misunderstood your problem then can you please describe your issue more clearly (perhaps with a link to an affected character sheet so I can look at it)?
I appreciate the help. I actually was able to figure it out by making sure all my saves of the race were in place before updating the character sheet. It all works now.
It was showing a +6 to hit instead of the DC for the saving throw on the character sheet. After changing it to what you said and making sure it saved properly, it is all working out now!
How do you change the dc of a custom action? I made a revised alchemist that has bombs whose save dc is your artificer spell save dc. I currently have an AllPurpose Tool +1. I'm able to get the snippet to reflect the change using {{savedc:int+1}}, but I don't know how to change the actual action to include the +1 bonus to the save. Should I just make it a fixed value?

Is it an Action in a homebrew, or a “custom action” on your character sheet? If it’s a homebrewed Action, then you will have to customize it on the character sheet to add the +1, there’s no way to do it in the homebrew.
If it’s a custom action created directly on the character sheet, you would have to use the “fixed save DC” instead of the calculated one.

Happy homebrewing!
Is there a way to add proficiency bonus to the save dc as well?

Ah, mb. Its an action in a homebrew.
Thank you for the tip
Happy to help. Yeah, just customize the action directly on the character sheet in the “DC Bonus” field.
