I have a Bag of Holding active in my equipment list, but it's not adjusting the encumbrance of my character so my speed has dropped to 5 feet instead of remaining at 30 feet. Is there something I'm not doing or should be doing to have the encumbrance adjust accordingly?

I'm not responsible for managing your feelings or how you perceive or understand what I say and if you get offended, it doesn't make you right just means you cry and whine louder. I grew up in a time where sticks and stone may break my bones but words will never hurt me, such a missing trait among younger people nowadays.
When I have bag of holding I make a note of all the "non-use" items (like clothes, bedroll, etc) and add this into the "personal items" box and then remove the items. This way, I still have record for the mundane items I have in my bag of holding that I am not activately using while at the same time don't have them adding to my encumberance.

They haven't worked that in yet, it's in the works though.
Glad to know it's not just me!
