When you say 'add spells to homebrew magic items,' what exactly do you mean? If they're making homebrew items, using spells you're sharing, that won't work. You can only create homebrew based off of items you own. Shared content is not usable in the homebrew tools. They can use the shared content to read the description and make the items as homebrew from scratch, or by using a similar item they do have access to as a starting point, but that's it. If you create the item it'd be fine, since you own the content.
Shared content is insufficient for the homebrewer. Either they would have to purchase those spells, or you would have to make the homebrewed magic items for them.
I have shared my content with my players, but the cannot add spells to homebrew magic items. Are we missing something? Thanks in advance!
