Greetings, 

Unable to select the Shadar-Kai as a race option any heads up ?

Do you own, or have access to via content sharing, any of the books that contain the shadar-kai race option? Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes for the legacy version and Monsters of the Multiverse for the current version?

If you have the former (legacy version), do you have legacy content enabled in the character builder?

I don't myself but the DM dose have both of those I do believe 

Here is a troubleshooting guide. I think your issue is probably (and most commonly) that you are not making the character within the campaign.
Use the join link and the create a character button that shows up. Do not use my characters.

If you cannot access content that you think you should be able to (whether you bought it or it is being content shared with you) make sure you have done the following:

• Make sure you or the person doing the content sharing bought the correct thing and not for example, the changeling monster as opposed to the race changelling
  
  
• Make sure you or the person doing the content sharing has their entitlements in sync here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/marketplace
  
  
  
• If it is content originally published in a setting specific book for Eberron, Magic the Gathering, or Critical Role, make sure the appropriate content toggles are on. For example, Changeling was originally published in Rising from the Last War and then reprinted in Monsters of the Multiverse. Circle of Spores was in the Ravnica book and then Tasha's.

• If this is something you bought and it still isn't working you will need to raise a support ticket.
  
  
• If this is content being shared with you, make sure content sharing is enabled for that campaign.
  • If you enabled content sharing, it should say You have enabled content sharing in this campaign
    
    
    
  • If someone else enabled content sharing, it should say "Content Sharing Enabled by UserName"

  • Follow the join link into the campaign
  • Click on Create A Character at the top of the page
  • Make sure the toggles are set as appropriate
• If the shared content still isn't working, have the person who enabled content sharing disable and then enable content sharing again
  
  
• If it still isn't working, you will need a support ticket.
