When choosing the Duergar subrace in the Character Builder, I neither get the Languages trait from the base race nor do I get the Extra Language trait from the subrace, but the languages appear in the Character Sheet.
This leads to a strange bug with the Clan Crafter background that allows the selection of a language other than Dwarvish if you already know Dwarvish. Since the Character Builder does not receive the information that the character can already speak Dwarvish, there is no option to choose another language.
I could not replicate this, however, it is because my character page kept crashing when I attempted it. Perhaps something is going on with the servers?
The Languages and Extra Language feature of gray dwarves (duergar) are granted, only hidden in the builder. The interaction with Clan Crafter is actually functioning correctly by RAW:
Proficiencies
Each background gives a character proficiency in two skills. Skills are described in the Using Ability Scores section.
In addition, most backgrounds give a character proficiency with one or more tools. Tools and tool proficiencies are detailed in the Equipment section.
If a character would gain the same proficiency from two different sources, he or she can choose a different proficiency of the same kind (skill or tool) instead.
Additional Languages
Some backgrounds also allow characters to learn additional languages beyond those given by race. See “Languages” earlier in this section.
Backgrounds don't allow for the selection of new languages should you already know a language, only skill or tool proficiencies.
With your DM's approval you could use the Custom Background option, and otherwise keep every other background detail the same as Clan Crafter, except choose a different language!
Actually the Clan Crafter background states as follows: "Languages: Dwarvish or one other of your choice if you already speak Dwarvish"
Thus I should be able to select another language as a dwarf who is already capable of speaking dwarvish.
Annotation. As I have now realised that it is a problem with the background and not with the grey dwarf subrace, I have changed the topic of the thread accordingly to match the problem.

They were adding new backgrounds at that time which caused the character sheet and builder to crash.
Aha! Apologies, I missed that portion. I was viewing the background from the Character Builder, where this information is not actually present as it is from the Clan Crafter page.

Ah! Thank you for the information. I couldn't find a corresponding thread.
Has this been resolved? One of my players is experiencing the same issue with making a Mark of Warding Dwarf.
